Selection
Our employees are carefully selected to ensure that they are capable of handling the requirements set forth by each position.
Training
Initial and continual training by a supervisor ensures that each employee fully understands what is expected of them.
Supervision
An important aspect, that ensures that officers are performing their respective duties, while allowing us to continually enhance the quality of our services.
TRAINING
- All potential security guards must first complete and successfully pass the Florida "D" license security course.
- Following completion and receipt of their D license from the state of Florida, we carefully screen each employee through the use of background checks and references with past employers.
- Upon successfully passing a thorough background examination, each potential employee will complete training at their intended job site.
- Training consists of 8-10 hours under the supervision of a supervisor to ensure that each individual thoroughly understands what is expected of them.
- Typically an individual will train for two days, consisting of 4-5 hours each day to ensure that they grasp the specific job duties and procedures that accompany their location.
- In some instances, we will administer a written examination consisting of a problem based scenario to ensure that our employees are properly trained for unique situations should they arise.
- Additionally, our supervisors routinely visit each location at varying times to ensure that each member of our staff is properly performing their respective job tasks.
Florida Unarmed "Security D" Course Training
The Security D Course is a 40 hour training class that will teach students the basic principles of security including; physical security, access control, terrorism awareness and emergency procedures. Skill development shall include report writing, interviewing techniques, crime and accident prevention. The State of Florida requires this security training course to be taught at licensed security school.
Once students complete the security class, a training certificate will be issued for successfully completing security guard training. Students will then submit this certificate along with the security license application to the Florida Division of Licensing in person or by mail. Students apply in person will be issued a temporary security d license. When a student receives the Temporary Class D Security License he/she will then be eligible to work as a licensed security officer and start their security career. To work armed security, students must complete the unarmed security training and the armed security class.
